Google’s New Generative AI Video Model is Now Available Before OpenAI’s Sora

Recently, Google announced its two exciting new generative artificial intelligence models, VEO and IMAGEN 3, for businesses through Vertex AI, the cloud platform of Google to provide AI tools for business applications. Before, this Google has also introduced many other exciting newly added features for a better customer experience.

Google Cloud’s data also reports that “Approximately 86% of businesses that are already using other generative AI for their workflows have witnessed around 6% more growth than those that are operating without any AI assistance.” Many reputable brands like Cadbury, Oreo, and Milka have already started using Veo and Imagen 3.

This speeds up Google’s innovation, allowing it to introduce the VEO, its most advanced video generative model, and IMAGEN #, a highly advanced tool for text-to-image generating systems.

Detailed Information About Google Generative AI Models: VEO and IMAGEN 3

VEO, An Advanced Video Generative Tool

Google is the first hyperscaler to offer an image-to-video model, and Veo, which is currently available in private preview on Vertex AI, marks a significant milestone. The technology has the ability to completely transform video production workflows across sectors by allowing companies to produce high-quality videos in response to basic text or image suggestions.

IMAGEN 3, Generative AI Text-to-Image Model

Next week, Imagen 3, made available to all Vertex AI clients, promises to produce images with previously unheard-of realism and notable enhancements in lighting, detail, and artifact removal. Advanced editing features and brand customization choices are among the additional features added to the model for enterprise clients on an allowlist.

Safety and Security Standards

There are many benefits to using the generative model to create images or videos via prompts, but it also has many risks associated with it. To overcome this issue, Google has already implemented robust safety features in both models to keep the safety of users prior. There is added digital watermarking through Google DeepMind’s SynthID. Moreover, the built-in safety filters prevent the creation of harmful content. The strict data governance policies also ensure the protection of customers.

Meanwhile, Recent Announcements of Google’s Rival: OpenAI

A few months back it was announced by the Microsoft-backed AI startup OpenAI that it would launch the text-to-video model at the end of 2024, but before the launch of Google’s generative AI video models, OpenAI was not showing anything. Recently, after the announcements from Google, the rivalry has again wakened up, and it announced that the company is also reportedly working on a successor to its GPT-4 model and planning to introduce its text-to-video tool, Sora AI, during one of the live streams after 12 days from Google’s launch.
